Odisha Signs Four MoUs in Singapore to Boost Clean Energy Research

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has signed four Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with global institutions and technology companies in Singapore to strengthen research collaboration in renewable energy and emerging clean energy technologies.

The agreements were signed at the Asia Clean Energy Summit, held as part of Singapore International Energy Week 2026. The partnerships will focus on artificial intelligence (AI), battery storage, smart grids, green hydrogen and other clean energy solutions.

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) will serve as a knowledge partner, supporting research in advanced energy technologies. The state has also partnered with TCS Singapore to explore digitalisation and AI-driven services.

Under an agreement with VFlowTech, Odisha will work on developing flow battery technology, while its partnership with Finergy will focus on research into sodium-ion battery storage systems. An MoU with Danfoss Drives will support the development of microgrids, smart grids and green hydrogen technologies.

Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo said the partnerships would strengthen Odisha’s clean energy transition through international cooperation. The initiative aims to improve energy security, enhance power grid stability and accelerate the adoption of emerging technologies.
