Iran May Reopen Strait of Hormuz Within 48 Hours Amid US Talks

Tehran: Iran is reportedly willing to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours if the United States accepts its conditions, amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to resolve the standoff.

The proposed timeline for a previously discussed seven-day truce has reportedly been shortened to two days.

President Masoud Pezeshkian has favoured resolving the crisis through dialogue, while Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has authorised the government to pursue a diplomatic solution. Qatar and Pakistan are mediating negotiations between the two countries.
