Tehran: Five explosions were reported on Iran’s Qeshm Island off the southern coast, while blasts were also heard in Bandar Lengeh near the Strait of Hormuz, amid heightened tensions between Tehran and Washington.
Local residents reportedly spotted two aircraft in the area around the time of the explosions. However, the cause of the blasts remains unclear, with no official confirmation of a US attack or reports of casualties and damage.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it had intercepted three US drones. It said two MQM-170 surveillance drones were seized near Qeshm Island, while an MQ-9 drone was destroyed in the eastern Strait of Hormuz.
