Mumbai: Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan kept his customary Sunday date with fans outside his Mumbai residence, Jalsa, despite heightened security following a bomb threat to his home.
The Bollywood megastar waved to and greeted thousands of fans gathered outside the bungalow from behind a bulletproof glass shield, taking precautionary measures amid the security concerns. His son, actor Abhishek Bachchan, accompanied him during the interaction.
Security around Jalsa was stepped up after a bomb threat email was reportedly sent to Amitabh Bachchan’s residence last week.
Abhishek was seen keeping a close watch on the surroundings while his father interacted with fans. Videos of him staying beside Amitabh and appearing attentive to his safety have gone viral on social media.
