Tehran: Iran has prepared a new military strategy to counter potential US threats, with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) warning of an immediate and decisive response to any aggression.
IRGC spokesperson Hossein Mohebbi said the military was identifying potential enemy targets in new geographical areas and preparing operations against them. He added that Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei had directed commanders to ensure an effective response.
The development comes amid reports that US military officials have briefed President Donald Trump on possible military options against Iran. A short, intensive strike after the US midterm elections has also been reported as a possibility.
